Any description of goods or services on our website, in marketing materials, or in person is intended as a general guide and does not constitute a binding guarantee unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

3. User obligations and responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information when placing orders, making bookings, or contacting us;
  • Comply with all instructions, notices, safety rules, signage, and staff directions while on our premises or attending any event;
  • Supervise children at all times during farm visits, educational sessions, and pick-your-own activities;

  • Not smoke, vape, drink alcohol, use unlawful substances, or behave aggressively on the premises;
  • Not interfere with farming operations, machinery, vehicles, livestock handling, or feed storage areas;
  • Pay all sums due in full and on time.

You acknowledge that farms are working environments and may involve uneven ground, mud, moving vehicles, animals, farm machinery, allergens, and weather-related hazards. You attend and use our services at your own risk, subject to these Terms and any mandatory legal rights that cannot be excluded.

4. Payment terms and conditions

Prices for products and services will be communicated at the point of sale, booking, or in our published materials. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and may include or exclude taxes as indicated at checkout or on the invoice.

Payment terms may include:

  • Immediate payment for retail purchases made in the farm shop or online, where applicable;
  • Advance payment or deposit for bookings, events, educational visits, large orders, or special requests;
  • Payment on invoice for approved business customers only, subject to any credit terms we agree in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where payment is not authorised, incomplete, or suspected of fraud or misuse. You are responsible for any bank charges, failed payment fees, or collection costs reasonably incurred by us due to non-payment or reversal of funds, to the extent permitted by law.

Where we deliver goods locally, delivery charges, minimum order values, cut-off times, and delivery windows may apply. Risk in goods may pass on delivery or collection in accordance with applicable law and the specific terms of sale.

5. Cancellation and refund policy

This cancellation and refund policy applies in addition to any statutory rights that may apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection law.

  • Fresh produce, eggs, hay, feed, and other perishable goods: Due to their nature, these items are generally non-refundable unless faulty, damaged on receipt, misdescribed, or otherwise required by law.
  • Farm shop purchases: Returns may be accepted at our discretion for non-perishable goods in unused, resalable condition, accompanied by proof of purchase, subject to any applicable legal rights.
  • Local deliveries: If you are unavailable at the agreed delivery time or provide inaccurate delivery instructions, we may treat the order as completed and may charge for redelivery or disposal where appropriate.
  • Pick-your-own and educational visits: Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled subject to notice periods communicated at the time of booking. Refunds may be limited where costs have already been incurred or where the booking is cancelled late.
  • Special events and group visits: Deposits may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

If we cancel a service due to safety concerns, severe weather, animal welfare requirements, disease control, force majeure, or other operational reasons, we may offer a rescheduled date, credit, or refund at our discretion, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.

Refunds, where approved, will normally be made using the original payment method within a reasonable time.

6. Liability limitations

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Subject to the foregoing, Greenfield Heritage Farm Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss;
  • Loss of profit, business, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings;
  • Loss or spoilage caused by improper storage, handling, transport, or use after collection or delivery;
  • Any injury, damage, or loss arising from your failure to follow instructions, warnings, or safety rules;
  • Any loss caused by third parties, weather, road conditions, or events beyond our reasonable control;
  • Any reaction to allergens, food sensitivities, or dietary issues where such information was not accurately disclosed or where products are consumed contrary to guidance.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, it shall be limited, to the maximum extent permitted by law, to the amount paid by you for the relevant product or service giving rise to the claim.

You accept that farm visits and agricultural activities involve inherent risks, including contact with animals, natural surfaces, tools, equipment, farm vehicles, and biosecurity measures. You are responsible for your own conduct and for ensuring that any children or accompanying persons under your supervision comply with all instructions.

8. Data protection and privacy

We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws. We collect and use personal information to process orders, manage bookings, arrange deliveries, respond to enquiries, maintain records, improve our services, and meet legal and regulatory obligations.

The types of personal data we may collect include your name, contact details, delivery address, payment-related details processed via third-party payment providers, booking information, attendance records, dietary or accessibility information you voluntarily provide, and any correspondence with us.

We may share personal data with service providers, payment processors, delivery partners, IT providers, professional advisers, and public authorities where necessary for the purposes described above or where required by law. We will take reasonable steps to protect your personal data.

Where required, we will provide further privacy information separately, including details of retention periods, lawful bases for processing, and your rights in relation to your personal data.

9. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, flood, fire, disease outbreaks, animal health restrictions, crop failure, utility outages, transport disruption, labour shortages, acts of government or public authority, civil unrest, or equipment failure not caused by our negligence.

If a force majeure event occurs, we may suspend, postpone, or cancel affected services, deliveries, or visits and will use reasonable efforts to minimise disruption where practicable.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, legal requirements, or service offerings. The revised Terms will take effect from the date stated in the updated version or upon publication where no effective date is specified.

Your continued use of our services after any change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend that you review these Terms periodically.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, or their formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or statutory dispute resolution procedures, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from or in connection with these Terms.
